Why is my rakeback lower than I expected?

The most common reasons a rakeback amount looks small: bucket split, game type, rank, bonus play and the rakeback cap.

Rakeback is a share of the house edge on your bets, not a share of the amount you wagered. That is why the number is much smaller than your total wagered. Here are the usual reasons it looks lower than expected.

1. You are looking at one bucket

Your rakeback is split across four buckets: hourly, daily, weekly and monthly. The hourly bucket gets the largest share and the monthly bucket the smallest, so the monthly amount is only a small part of what you earned that month. Most of it was already available in your hourly, daily and weekly claims.

Example: say you wager $100,000 on slots with a 4% house edge, at a 10% rakeback rate. The house edge on that play is $4,000 and your rakeback is $400 in total. With a 40/30/20/10 split, $160 is hourly, $120 daily, $80 weekly and $40 monthly.

2. Earlier buckets expired unclaimed

Each bucket has to be claimed within a few days of becoming available. Unclaimed amounts expire and are lost. See "When can I claim rakeback, and when does it expire?".

3. The games you played

  • Slots earn based on each game's house edge (100% minus its RTP). A 96% RTP slot has a 4% edge; a 99% RTP game has only 1%.

  • Sports bets, live casino, table games and blackjack earn at a much lower rate than slots and most Originals.

  • Sports rakeback only starts once you have climbed part of the rank ladder.

4. Your rank

Your rakeback rate is set by your rank and rises every time you rank up. In the first few ranks you have not unlocked every bucket yet, so you earn only part of your rate until they are all open. The VIP page shows the rate for your rank.

5. Bonus play

Bets placed from a bonus balance generally do not earn rakeback, unless the bonus includes a rakeback boost.

6. The rakeback cap

Rakeback earned between deposits is capped at a multiple of your most recent deposit. If you have been playing for a long time on winnings from a small deposit, you may have reached the cap. A new deposit resets it.
